USB Projects
The promotion and support of social projects is one of the important statutory objectives of the USB Foundation. Only larger, long-term projects are supported in order to reach a wider group of people over a longer period of time.
The primary aim is to support people in need, with handicaps or people whose lives have become unbalanced, for example by helping them to (re)integrate into the society and/or on their ways back into a regular working life, with training, finding a place to live or medical support etc. Projects handled so far include:
Funding of a qualified social education worker for young women without a fixed abode
Integration of refugees, long-term unemployed and physically or mentally handicapped people into a regular working life
Purchase of apartments for homeless people with subsequent socio-pedagogical support
Procurement and delivery of medical equipment (such as incubators and ECG machines) to children's hospitals in Ukraine that have been attacked by Russia
Projects for young people to promote understanding of democracy and freedom
All projects were carried out in cooperation with experienced partner organizations, through which qualified personnel were also brought in.
