Shuteen Erdenebaatar Quartet "Rising Sun"

Cultural events of all kinds are welcome in these politically crazy times, and a concert like this one by Shuteen Erdenebaatar [p] Nils Kugelmann [b], Jakob Manz [sax, fl] and Valentin Renner [dr] are even more, namely moments of happiness. The band convinced the audience for over two hours with own compositions, all reflecting positive aspects of life and some with private background, such as the piece “7671” (written by Shuteen on the 7671st day = 21st birthday of her life), a declaration of love or the title “in praise of light”, a musical interpretation of personal happiness. In addition to the musical diversity, the quartet, which complemented each other perfectly and in which no one pushed to the front, also impressed by some unusual instrumental variants [a duett between bass and drums, pieces during which Jakob changed the sax against an acoustric pipe]. All this was presented by Shuteen in a witty and empathetic manner.
